Not sure of your “taxi etiquette”? Here are a few good tips to follow when riding in a taxi to set your mind at ease and make your ride more enjoyable.
- Ask the customer service representative or driver for an estimated rate before starting your trip so there's no surprise as to what your fee will be.
- Request a receipt to ensure you get your cab number for reference if needed.
- Call ahead to inquire about estimated travel time so you can schedule your pick-up time accordingly.
- Pay the charges off the meter only.
- Double-check the cab as you leave to ensure you did not leave any personal belongings.
