Who is Care Cab?
Care Cab has been in operation since the early eighties and provides non-emergency wheelchair and stretcher transportation. Our riders are physically or mentally challenged people who do not need life support systems or medical attention while being transported. Some carry their own personal oxygen supply. Care Cab is a Minnesota Medical Assistance and MNET provider and bills the agencies directly.
Care Cab operates a fleet of over 50 vans. The vehicles are equipped with the latest 4-point wheelchair securing devices, climate comfort controls, wireless communication and first aid resources. All vehicles are on scheduled maintenance programs, subject to yearly state inspection and certification and groomed with pride, inside and out, on a regular basis.
Care Cab is currently enrolled or a participating provider with Blue Plus, Medica, UCare, First Plan, Itaska Medical Plan and Health Partners. Care Cab covers the state and into the surrounding five-state area. Care Cab also provides a MnDOT Certified Driver Training Program and Public Safety Inspection Program.
